A New Start

I didn't like the fabric I was working on (25 count Jobelan - I hate Jobelan) so I started over. This is on 35 ct. undyed Vikki Clayton linen, over 2 with 1 strand regular, Vikki Clayton LE 2465, 2155, 2319.

Hello all..... just wanted to check in to let you know that I finished stitching page three today..... here's a picture of my progress so far:

Finished Page 2

Here is a picture of the first 2 pages of this wonderful new mystery. I am stitching this one over one on 28 count, white evenweave.
I am using Vikki Clayton Hand-Dyed Fibers:
Acts of Violets and the three colors that make it up: Lilac Mist (2143)Nosegay (2109)Sue-Purple-Ous.
The colors aren't true in the picture. I guess my camera can't cope with hand dyed fibers. Hopefully I can get better colors after the next page.
It is so much fun to do these SALs and see the project grow, week by week.

Week 2 done

I finished Week 2 this morning, I love how it looks.

25 count antique white Jobelan, HDF Limited Edition 2465/21155/2319

My Page 2 picture

Here is my second page of the spot sampler done..

to re cap i am using the hdf 35 ct undyed linen with the full sue purple range of silks from hdf as well, including a LE varigate which is what i have used for the new big motif on page 2

and as usual i am stitching 1x1

Week 2 all done!

Here's this weekends work on our beautiful spot sampler. I tried scanning the stitching this time around just to see if the colours show up better. The fabric is cream newcastle and I am working 1 over 2 with HDF threads. I'll come back and update this post when I know the colours used for the two motifs I stitched this week. I'm really pleased with how it is looking so far. Thank you Martina for such a lovely pattern to work with.

Cathymk's first page completed.

Hello folks, here is my start on the Spot Sampler mystery 2008. I'm stitching mine on 40ct Cream Newcastle with Vikki Claytons Hand-dyed Fibers (HDF). The colours I have used thus far are: Ultra violet 2125 (upper left motif), Limited edition 1453/1455/2125 (for the one below it) and the large motif to the right is stitched with Ultra Maroon 1455.

I am planning to introduce Ultra Maroon 1453, another LE colour - 2125/2115/1455 and Nosegay 2115 as the sampler progresses.

I had these colours sitting in my stash for a while and I have to admit, I was pleased to hear about this project so I could finally get them out and stitch with them. I think that is why it stitched up so quickly this time around!

I'm looking forward to following everyone's progress! Happy stitching!

Christmas Ornament stitched

Hi again!

i was trying to enable someone to sign up to the mystery sampler group by showing them the pretty ornament , so i stitched it lol..

it is stitched 1x2 on white 50 ct linen using HDF silk in a deep varigated red named oxblood with some gold kreinik in the middle

i am not sure what i will do with it now if there are other ornaments released i might just make a secondary small sampler , otherwise i suspect this will become a mini biscornu

Whatsup week 1

Oh look, at the top of the page we can see a little bit more of the mystery unveiled! It looks so wonderful, I can't wait.

I know I won't be able to keep up with a page a week, especially when November and December get here. Plus I will be traveling a week in October, so there I get another week behind. But for now, I am caught up.

I am stitching my sampler on 25 count white jobelan using Vikki Clayton Limited Edition color 2465/2155/2319 (jadeite, velvet midnight and mermaid blue). My intention is to incorporate some of the solid color components into the sampler at some point.

Fudgey's Spot sampler Page 1

Hi Everbody..

i am approaching this with caution i used to have a blogger blog and left cos i could never post pics successfully

i finished the first page over the weekend , i put a pic in the yahoo group, but i have added it here too to see if i can post a picture successfully ( you are all the guinea pigs!!)

i also just started the ornament martina posted today, but no picure yet as it took me more than an hour to choose which silk to use! i am stitch in it 1x2 on 50 ct white legacy linen using HDF silk in oxblood

my Spot Sampler is being stitched 1x1 on cream 35 ct linen from HDF using the HDF Sue Purple series as well as some LE varigates from the range

I can't wait to stitch the next page, though i am not sure i will be able to keep it at a page a week , maybe a page a fortnight!

Welcome

A huge welcome to everyone. Martina and I thought this would be a perfect idea for the mystery stitcher's to show off their progress pictures and make comments etc.
